Once upon a time,
I installed slitaz on a computer, after that, I started to install softwares, libs, ..., especially the f***** flash-plugins 666 technology of the devil... then I tested if I can watch tv channels by internet. I tried two channels (the names doesn't matter) both were super laggy and the quality of the picture was pretty bad... after maybe 5min, my computer shutdown and one red light (I never see it before) started to twinkle... At the very moment, I thought that was Putin who trapt my computer with some bomb... I hide myself under the bed, praying for god guidance. After 5 min, I started to suffer from internet starvation. So, braving death! I try to "shutup-back" my computer... it wasn't very accommodating... I took it into my hands, it was hot, very hot... the desk was hot too... meanwhile the girl was cold... anyway I waited 20 min (nothing about the girl) before I turn on the computer. When I was back in slitaz, I realize that my fan was turning like hell (I was able to dry my long hairs...).
anyway, I installed (trough tazpanel) linux-cpufreq, linux-acpi, acpid, then :
/etc/init.d/dbus stop
/etc/init.d/acpid start
/etc/init.d/dbus start
modprobe powernow-k8

now, the fan is quiet and when I watch a tv channel trough internet, I don't have a shitty picture anymore. I didn't reboot yet. Honestly, the solution was giving by kultex in 2011... it would not be a good idea to install these packets by default ? coz, maybe I have wrong but I think I'm not the only one who have a computer with a fan... or maybe mine is a special fan... I don't know.
yes the post is long, but whatever I'm a zombie! let see if my computer will shutdown again
