Im used to work with Slitaz-Live. After following ur steps, i have Blender working. I want to tazlito writeiso to produce a roofs.gz. I do. I reboot. But i dont have graphical desktop. Only text.
I saved the Xorg.0.log

[ 164.049] (EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file. It's because in my rootfs.gz i use an external screen and switch off my laptop screen with lxrandr ?
Also, the command
root@slitaz:~# uname -a indicates im still on Linux 4.9
despite that the command
root@slitaz:~# tazpkg info linux indicates me i have linux 4.17 package installed
Is the error commming from my old bzImage ? (as im booting on live). I know that the bzImage has something to with the kernel version (just like the vmlinux file )
Thats why i was talking about creating an updated iso based on the old Slitaz Next. To be sure we are working on same system.

Before to update of the Next ISO 170930 block libfm, lib-extra and libfm-gtk
I reboot. But i dont have graphical desktop. Only text.
You have to block xorg-server too.
root@slitaz:~# uname -a indicates im still on Linux 4.9
despite that the command
root@slitaz:~# tazpkg info linux indicates me i have linux 4.17 package installedThe new kernel will be loaded after reboot. If you are running a Live...
Don't create a new rootfs only, create an entire ISO. TazLiTo should use the installed packages (I hope...)P.S. By the way, thanks at Aleksej for his two as long as interesting answers in the above referenced topic. I hope I can bring my modest contribution to your project :)

do you re-install --force those packages ? or do you have a command to block some packages when launching the 'tazpkg upgrade" ?
Posted 6 years ago # -
tazpkg block <package_name>
to block package beforetazpkg up
. This is the easiest way.You can also repack the packages (
tazpkg repack <package_name>
) from a Live session of the ISO 170930 and then force their re-installation in your updated installation.
Tazpkg will not be able to repack libfm (because the .conf file). You can copy/paste files of this package from the Live to your installation; not really smart but will work and fortunately libfm does not install many packages. If my memory serves me good, you'll have to delete and recreate a symlink but I don't remeber which one; I can tell you in the evening.Posted 6 years ago # -
Thx Ceel ! Yes i noticed that not possible to repack the libfm.tazpkg .. so i extract, manually modified, then pack the unpack tree (not repack :)
But 2 things :
1 - preventing upgrades don't stop the glxgears to work ?
2 - did you test your solution with the package required for glxgears ?coz i did and it doesnt work.. :/
For now, i used Slitaz 5 to install the old Next iso on HD , then i installed the packages of alanyih, then i tapkg up (with no block of the 3 libfm's , neither the xorg-server .. and everything works :) )
well, i have new bug like: impossible to launch pcmanfm as root
/home/tux# pcmanfm
(process:13631): Gtk-WARNING **: 20:40:42.343: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale. Also, if , from my updated HD install, i tazlito gen-distro : i output a new bzImage and a fresh rootfs.gz made from a list of packages installed on my system (but re-downloaded in my var/cache/tazpkg) .. but when i use those 2 files to boot in a live session, it just give me a black screen (or gui login screen, but then black).
So to summerize the challenge : its to have a Live ISo with functional desktop (lxde, lxpanel working) which can launch blender as a proof of success for OpenGL . For the moment, i have this on HD, not in Live... Why? .. i dont know.

1 - Hmm, I don't know...
and
2 - No :/well, i have new bug like: impossible to launch pcmanfm as root
Yes, it seems to me it's a known bug as you can't open a file as root from PCManFM, can't launch GParted from the Applications menu but only from a terminal and so on. Next is not a stable release; you have to discover where are bugs and learn to live with them ;-)

yeah, we Slitaz users, we love bugs, spiders and cockroaches :)
Posted 6 years ago # -
@Ceel
block libfm, lib-extra and libfm-gtk
can't open a file as root from PCManFM
keep same version
block libfm, libfm-extra libfm-gtk and pcmanfm
can't launch GParted from the Applications menu
edit /usr/share/applications/gparted.desktop
Exec=tazbox su /usr/bin/gparted %f

alanyih,
thx for the tutorial. As i said before, it works when HD install. I was just wondering if making an ISO with all this will work as well.
cheers
