Em alguns testes que eu fiz em outras distribuições Linux que consomem muita memória RAM (mais que 1GB de RAM para abrir o Linux), era possível descompactar o firefox-76.0.1.tar.bz2 e executar o firefox, mas como estas distribuições exigem muita memória e processadores mais atuais não servem para colocar em uso todos os computadores, sejam os mais antigos ou os mais novos. É triste ver tantas distribuições Linux seguindo o mesmo caminho da Microsoft, o caminho da obsolência programada de tecnologia.
Dessa forma seria possível ter instalado (ou simplesmente descompactar copiar e colar) programas, permitindo, por exemplo, o usuário possuir dois programas iguais com versões diferentes em pastas diferentes, sendo necessário apenas criar um ícone de atalho para o usuário final poder abrir ou executar o programa sem ter que acessar a pasta do programa.
Quando o usuário não quiser mais um programa, seria necessário apagar a pasta e o ícone de atalho do programa.
