configure: --sharedstatedir=?

   Hi,

   I'm writing my first receipt ;)
   The configure script has option --sharedstatedir which is described as:

   modifiable architecture-independent data [default value: PREFIX/com]

   Shall I set it to /var, like --localstatedir?

   Hi Lucas,

   Here they recommended to set sharedatatedir to /var/lib instead of it's default value PREFIX/com.

   You know, your program will may not use this sharedstatedir settings, and this is only common settings from autotools.
