Hi
SliTaz has debian-ar and wget and can so manage Debian-deb's.
(but «ar» seems not to be easy to find :-( . it is not in SliTaz-base...)
How to transfer a deb > Slitaz package?

as root
tazpkg convert /path/xxx.deb
In this (french) guide, I over-convert debian packages:
http://doc.slitaz.org/fr:guides:msp430
I hope it helps.
Happy slitaz

Hi
Thank you for both answer, but it was as far not exactly my question, that I wish to change somewhat in the *deb doing that.
It is the reason why
a1/ I need to find where is debian-ar (because I will do that mainly in Slitaz base and there is no «ar» in Slitaz base)
a2/ if «ar» is perhaps in a bigger SliTaz package, how to extract only ar?
b/ I need to use ar to unpack the Debian package really properly.
c/ Only after changing the content it is possible to continue, change / adapt the content, and build my own Slitaz package.
thank you for the happy SliTaz and same for you both!
Note: How to mark a thread as «solved»?
dpkg-deb is busybox applet to list or extract deb package contents.
Usage: dpkg-deb [-cefxX] FILE [argument
Perform actions on Debian packages (.debs)
-c List contents of filesystem tree
-e Extract control files to [argument] directory
-f Display control field name starting with [argument]
-x Extract packages filesystem tree to directory
-X Verbose extract
ar is busybox-applet
busybox is in slitaz-base
Hi Mojo
Thank you very much. I will try this way
kind rgds
PS: ar is busybox-applet
busybox is in slitaz-base
I suppose not in all SliTaz... (in rolling as actually install by me it is a link to i486-slitaz-linux-ar and copyed in also linux'es, it also works. ok! as a lot of other linux'es have busybox-applet, it is perhaps possible. but in slitaz base, it did not start...) I am not in base actually, I will look later if I can find the link and i486-slitaz-linux-ar!
Hi Oui
I was wrong, ar is in binutils not busybox.
http://pkgs.slitaz.org/search.sh?filelist=binutils
# tazpkg -gi binutils
