Device driver for RTL8188CUS won't compile

Hi,
I'm having a little trouble compiling the device driver for my Realtek 8188CUS Wireless card... I downloaded a driver for it from here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true
Now once I extracted the .zip file and ran the ./install.sh script as root, I'm getting the following errors:

make[1]: Entering directory /lib/modules/2.6.37-slitaz/build'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/lib/modules/2.6.37-slitaz/build'

I read somewhere that I should install the linux-source package, and I did that with no luck. I also ran the get-linux-source command... Can someone advise me on what to do?

Have you tried modprobe -v r8192u_usb first?

slitaz-toolchain and linux-source is required to compile kernel drivers
get-linux-source on 4.0 is working: http://snipurl.com/25h06tu

Thank you, mojo - slitaz-toolchain-4.0 and linux-source are both installed

Thank you, Trixar_za - I will try your suggestion, should I add it to /etc/modules? I'm not sure what your command does.

It loads the module. Searching through packages content, that's the closest to the one you need.

Modprobe did not produce any output, and after running the command and plugging in the device, scanning for networks did not produce any results.
Actually this particular device is known not to work without building the drivers as I was trying to do.

Solved, I think I needed to install gcc.

The computer has to be connected to the internet for slitaz-toolchain to install:
DEPENDS="binutils linux-api-headers glibc-dev gcc make elfkickers"
