wqy-bitmapfont works fine but for chinese sites only (so finally I can 'see' chinese slitaz subforum).
Also some sites in Polish are not displayed properly - question marks instead of letters.
I noticed many Slitaz users speak Russian - I wonder what packages in Slitaz are responsilble for cyrillic fonts.
Unifont - I will investigate later.
something more specific
please, share link to web site you shooted. I have a big font collection, and I think I can find one for you, well, only if here is font (not html code) issue.
Also, please, tell me, have you glibc-locale package installed?
And yes, I'm Russian, and I see Russian letters in SliTaz menu from first LiveCD boot without any movements from my side.
root@slitaz:/home/tux# tazpkg -s locale
Search result for: locale
glibc-locale 2.13 system-tools.
1 installed package(s) found for : locale
Available packages name-version
30 available package(s) found for : locale
I dont see locale-pl or locale-jp? but there is locale-ru.

Installed ttf-takao-mincho fonts. Thanks marcb for wikipedia link. I had the same problam few years ago, and the solution was the same.
glibc-locale fixed the Polish fonts problem.
Now I can read english, french, japanese, polish and of course russian :)
I dont need no more.
