Support on my hardware stopped at syslinux-3.83
Thankfully there some slitaz iso files still on syslinux-3.82. That being said there are many versions (newer and supported) that will not boot on my hardware.
Based on what I am seeing in your tools I have interesting question.....
Could I install v3 and block syslinux-4.0X
then tazpkg set-release to 4.0 and upgrade to get a usable system?
Others have enticed me to build syslinux-3.82 on v4 But I wonder if this would work? I will try installing wget and building old syslinux on my vm tonight.
I see a hybrid os out there called tazpuppy. Mistfire makes it. Has made many in fact. It wont boot on my hardware but it makes me wonder. If you read these mistfire would you send one out with 3.82 on it instead? I hang on the first syslinux 3.83 boot line and do not progress....
