No Audio in VLC when playing a DVD

   I am using VLC player 0.9.9a. I can get audio from any local file format and I can get video from local files and a dvd. But I cannot get a dvd to play audio of any kind. I am having this problem on both my Slitaz machines (Dell latitude CPX-H laptop, and Hp/Compaq NC8230 laptop) I am running Slitaz 3.0 stable.

   Any ideas?

   vlc-0.9.9a in stable repo has no ac3 audio decoding because compile option --disable-a52
   Libvlc compiled to decode ac3 :

   Existing vlc-0.9.9a install:
   #tazpkg install libvlc-0.9.9a.tazpkg --forced
   New install of vlc-0.9.9a:
   #tazpkg install libvlc-0.9.9a.tazpkg
   #tazpkg get-install vlc
