Hello.
I have been using slitaz since 5.0 RC3, and currently using RC4 build 2017-01-15, both live and installed modes.
I have felt curiosity to try the 64 bit build given the overall tendency in general, but just recently increased because I have always used firefox as preferred browser, and recent news said firefox will most likely drop 32 bit support at short or mid term. Oh, and I always download latest version from mozilla website whenever I use livecd, so of course I need to install gtk+3 package.
But after reading some threads here, I'm doubting about it a bit..
Is current slitaz 64 build nearly as stable as current preferred 32 bit slitaz in general? Hexchat, firefox, pulseaudio...
Is it at least usable or is it actually quite buggy?
Can firefox 64 bit really run cleanly on it?
Also, back in RC3 I built zandronum from source for some old gaming. It worked seemingly well. When moving to RC4 it also worked without needing to rebuild it entirely; I only had to copy the program entire folder, install some few packages it needs and run the executable.
I read slitaz 64 only has kernel and some few basic libraries 64 bit, but all rest of packages are still 32 bit. Could I do the same thing with zandronum on slitaz 64, without rebuilding it?
Thanks.
