The slitaz kernel is NOT 32-bit PAE or 64-bit.

Well, not yet anyway. There are some people working on it even though I still believe we should have a 32-bit and 32-bit PAE version. PAE just means the computer will be able to access more than the first 4GB of the RAM.
EDIT: Sorry, first 4GB of RAM, not 2GB

In cooking version (next stable release), we have 64 bits version of kernel (Version 3.2.40).
This is one of goals for 5.0, use x64 version (or at least use a 64 bits kernel).
if you want, you can test linux64 in downloading from pkgs.slitaz.org on cooking release.
