Hi all. I tried and lost an entire day to install Slitaz on my laptop HDD. At the first attempt I tried using a CD with the latest version of Slitaz. I booted in Slitaz (live desktop) from the CD and tried to install it on HDD using the method to download the latest ISO from the Slitaz website and install it. I formatted my hdd using the built in GPARTED and I followed the steps from http://doc.slitaz.org/en:handbook:installation. No way to install it after the reboot I got this message: PXE-E61 Media test failure, check cable , bla, blah.... Searching the web I found that I had to disable the Network booting in bios entirely and I turned of Network booting but nothing changed.
The result of the second attempt was pretty much the same except the error message that changed into ''No boot device found....'' and this time I used a live usb drive with Slitaz installed.
So in a last attempt I said that maybe something's wrong with my hardware so I tried to install UBUNTU than Linux Mint but both worked without any problems.
My entire day finished by reinstalling XP (that I hate) so it is not a hardware problem , bad HDD sectors...
I love Slitaz from what I saw when running the live cd but the installing process is really driving me nuts so if anyone can help me to install Slitaz on my Acer Aspire 5157Z I'll be really grateful.
Please don't hurt me with command line phrases 'cause I'm not so geek.
(and sorry for my bad English)
