@All
I just ran into trouble using an old WLAN-USB-Stick:
root@slitaz:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 1058:1021 Western Digital Technologies, Inc. Elements 2TB
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 058f:6362 Alcor Micro Corp. Flash Card Reader/Writer
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 006: ID 0586:3400 ZyXEL Communications Corp. ZyAIR B-220 IEEE 802.11b Adapter
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
root@slitaz:~$ lsmod | grep zd
zd1201 12818 0
root@slitaz:~$ iwconfig wlan0
wlan0 No such device
(On an old Mandriva installation it works. So I copied the firmware from there to a new directory /lib/firmware/zd1201 - and inserted the USB-stick again:)
Dmesg shows then:
usb 2-5: new full-speed USB device number 7 using ohci_hcd
usb 2-5: Failed to load zd1201.fw firmware file!
usb 2-5: Make sure the hotplug firmware loader is installed.
usb 2-5: Goto http://linux-lc100020.sourceforge.net for more info.
usb 2-5: zd1201 firmware upload failed: -2
zd1201: probe of 2-5:1.0 failed with error -2
Does anybody know which firmware-tazpkg is suitable for this model?
Regards,
Michael
