Hello, I am trying to install slitaz on a partition with Linux already installed AlphaOS. I do this by booting from a USB flash drive, but does not detect the hard drives, so I can not copy files from pendrive to hard disk for installation in a subdirectory. Anyone know how I can help?
From already thank you very muchPosted 10 years ago # -

IDE controller connects the motherboard to the hard drives.
Your motherboard requiressata_via.ko.xz
andpata_via.ko.xz
for the IDE controller to work.
See if they are installed:
login as root.
tazpkg search-file sata_via.ko.xz
Hit Enter
tazpkg search-file pata_via.ko.xz
Hit EnterThey should be in the linux tazpkg.

The cooking release was made with linux tazpkg missing many drivers.
The linux tazpkg has been fixed.
Boot into AlphaOS and use it to install Slitaz.
Extract the slitaz file tree from rootfs.gz into the sub folder
Chroot into the Slitaz filesystem sub folder.
While connected to the internet.
tazpkg recharge
tazpkg -gi linux --force
Edit:
Forget the chroot with AlphaOS.
AlphaOS is 64 bit and Slitaz is 32 bit,it will not work.
Download/install the http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/slitaz-rolling-isoPosted 10 years ago # -
