I'm impressed by SliTaz to say the least. I have not played with it much but a year ago I installed SliTaz 3.0 on my mother-in-laws new (old) Compaq computer. Her first and she's in her mid 70's she's a newbie.
I was reading this today:
2. SliTaz is not Windows or Ubuntu
Just as a little warning - someone in the forum described SliTaz as “a no-go for newbies”
... and I had to smile. Her knowledge of computers is simple: Windows, Ubuntu and SliTaz are all the same: ZERO!
My Spanish is not the best, her English less. But I put SliTaz on her computer with a Spanish Menu OpenBox (I use #! CrunchBang). She can now get her mail, see images and surf the web. All she wants all she needs.
Thing is with SliTaz most of the programs she uses have English menus - she's getting better, support calls are down to zero. Mind you her needs are simple.
Thank you for SliTaz.
I am now going to check out the latest SliTaz.
