I'm here. Sad, but most of all I'll not help you tomorrow, I'll at work until night.
I diff'ed new strace log.
Now I take a look at the file sizes. I think you have extremely small:
/lib/modules/3.2.71-slitaz/modules.dep.bin
/lib/modules/3.2.71-slitaz/modules.alias.bin
/lib/modules/3.2.71-slitaz/modules.symbols.bin
Are they really 12 Bytes each?
Know what I think?
There depmod
command regenerates almost all files in the /lib/modules/3.2.71-slitaz
(all but modules.builtin
and modules.order
). And maybe this depmod
is broken. What is alternative?
$ tazpkg -sp /sbin/depmod
Search result for package "/sbin/depmod"
===============================================================================
busybox
depmod
kmod
===============================================================================
3 packages
What is my depmod
?
$ ls -l /sbin/depmod
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Авг 26 16:45 /sbin/depmod -> kmod
$ tazpkg -sp /sbin/kmod
Search result for package "/sbin/kmod"

kmod

Try the alternatives. I not sure the kmod
package will work for you, but try!
Why I unsure? Now I checked for updates, I should upgrade 718 of 772 (or 738?) installed packages. OMG! Are they so much? :D I may break my installation during upgrade, and it will not work like yours. I not using fresh Rolling ISO, my SliTaz is regularly upgraded 2 years old installation.
Try the alternative, then check file sizes:
$ ls -l /lib/modules/3.2.71-slitaz/
Write and compare the results.
Good luck and have a nice day!
