RC2 really is a pain in the arse. I've been using RC1 with no issues as my main OS for over two months now and I intend to write a story about it on a few websites and I'll link to the Distrowatch page instead of slitaz.org -> thus getting two things at once (ranking on distrowatch and publicity).
Now that Aleksej has made the Romanian keyboard layout to work, I'll also use my contacts here to popularize.
Btw - Softpedia is a Romanian enterprise and I happen to know quite a few people in there. I'll try to get 'em write a new piece in there. I'll be damned if I'll leave my newly found favorite distro not popularized enough :)

Thats great to hear Lucian-V...
You know Softpedia is again quoted or ends up in various news mashups like this:
http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Technology/Software/Linux
So getting some sort of stories in there is not great, but damn great.
Also to make sure a release is also made into a little story for them, is also very clever as Simplicity does.
Try to write a bit narrow, so that if you find out that you like your writing and see your stuff all over the net, experiencing newbees that YOU brought to the community etc.
But if the Romanian keyboard is now working, is that going to be in either RC1 og RC2?
As for me I agree that RC2 is the reason things are dropping like a stone, being a Linux users for more than 10 years now, I am not able to get RC2 beyond "Kernel Panic" in the early boot stages, so the hint on RC1 being a better choice, I might just give it another try.

@Lucian-V
I agree with you that RC2 is pain - so at the moment its much better to use rolling...
http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/
maybe somebody can do a RC3 to get rid of RC2

Hmmm.... I have been looking for that rolling release for some time and its not really intuitive to find. Why is this not a part of the "download" section on the "front page" of this site?
I would say that would be a better choice than having the RC2 that at least for me, seems helpless and have been a waste of time to try booting on several laptops...
If this rolling release works, I hereby demand its easy to find among the other downloads and if its there, please come and help me to a eye doctor:-)

I don't understand what you mean Atle.
>But if the Romanian keyboard is now working, is that going to be in either RC1 og RC2?
I'm using RC1 and I will keep on using RC1 for quite some time now since I made it work absolutely fantastic and it's now my main OS and Winblows is only allowed to exist because I can play Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA in it :))
>I am not able to get RC2 beyond "Kernel Panic" in the early boot stages
In the few days I've struggled with RC2, I got it beyond "Kernel Panic" in early boot stages but most of the stuff just couldn't get done in it - or at least I couldn't. Meanwhile, RC1 worked like a charm and did essentially everything I wanted from it and then some.

What i meant is that one can make it 3 stories in stead of one.
1) The experience with Slitaz 5
2) Some test on Slitaz Arm
3) Some test of Slitaz 64 bitsIf you write about them all at once, its only one story, hence the "narrow it" :-)

>It could get worse before it gets better, over a 6 months period.
>Last 7 days -> 69
>Last month -> 100
>Last 3 months -> outHue hue hue - Last month -> 86 now :D
Last week -> 72My plan seems to be working :D
Leave it to me to keep it in top 100.
My next objective: to move SliTaz higher than no. 90 in the overall table.Posted 10 years ago # -
Hi Lucian,
I ask you very much—please, don't cheat!
We had a problem with a DistroWatch in a February, 2013.
Ladislav Bodnar blocked our link in the footer of our web sites that lied to the SliTaz DistroWatch page (reason: Object Loading on every page). Our own sources audit don't shows any relevant.
It is a very weird story that ends. Please, don't cheat, it lower SliTaz reputation.Posted 10 years ago # -
Unless putting the SliTaz link into the signature(s) of every forum I hang out on, dropping some links on the IRC servers I hang around and naming it explicitly on the facebook pages I am admin on - counts as cheating, then definitely I'm not cheating.
I do with SliTaz what I do with other favorite products of mine - advertise them amongst the people who are part of my audience. I hardly think that counts as cheating...

Lucian,
You know, it is absolutely not what I feared.
After all, someone with the best intentions embedded the object into our website pages.
And someone else is able to create a bot that screw the clicks.
I am for fair play.
Please, do not be offended.Posted 10 years ago # -
>Please, do not be offended.
Srsly? I'm Eastern European. I've met Ceaușescu. It takes far more to offend me than just a friendly "please don't cheat" advice on a forum :))
Cheers.

I do not understand the parallels, I've met Ceausescu only on postage stamps in my childhood.
I realized that only SliTaz programming is better for me, and not to speak on the forum to other topics...
