I've got a single core Intel Atom (dual-threaded) 10" netbook: Samsung N145, CPU@1.66GHz, 2GB RAM. I've found that gnome-mplayer works well on this machine and have used it to play videos (2500 bitrate/25 fps) on either Ubuntu or Manjaro distros (32-bit).
However, when I use Slitaz5-rolling 32-bit, I'm unable to play videos at 2500 bitrate due a lack of audio/video synchronization. For it to work, I need to drop the bitrate to 1500, but video quality is unwatchable at this level.
Why do 2500 bitrate/25 fps videos work in Ubuntu and Manjaro but not in Slitaz ? Is there a dependency missing - does anyone know how to fix this ?
Many thanks in advance for any help with this.
