   Hi maybl8,

   Thanks, if check modules could be related to i2c / hid touchpad.
   See also you have pinctrl_cannonlake is loaded (seem great to add it but not enough)

   I check to include this modules on linux64 :

   +drivers/hid/intel-ish-hid/intel-ishtp-hid.ko.xz
   +drivers/hid/intel-ish-hid/intel-ishtp.ko.xz
   +drivers/hid/intel-ish-hid/intel-ish-ipc.ko.xz
   +drivers/i2c/i2c-smbus.ko.xz
   +drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-i801.ko.xz

   Put new iso again https://people.slitaz.org/~shann/slitaz-current-stuff/efitest/slitaz-current-core64.iso

   For pinctrl_* (intel) it's built-in in kernel maybe not necessary.

   This image doesn't boot when I write it to the usb drive.

   I test it on qemu with/without UEFI with success.
   In case i relaunch kernel build in quick break point in afternoon, rebuild iso in progress.

   Only change same kernel that yesterday iso + modules i said previously.

   Test iso on my eeepc (bios mode in case), iso build morning work on usb stick

   Sorry You didn't have to remake the iso. It was my fault. The BIOS setting changed on booting to USB .
   However still no touchpad.
   I noticed if it matters that under preferences Keyboard and mouse there is no setting for the touchpad. That could be because it doesn't see one. I assume.
   I will continue to test as you make new iso's but if you have other items that you are working on you don't have to keep trying this. I wish I could provide you with the info you need. Sounds like you are building from ground up. I don't have that level of experience to help.
   I did at one time look into trying Linux from Scratch. But it was too much for me.

   Ciao a tutti, il touchpad, o meglio il touchscreen è una battaglia dura farlo funzionare; sebbene il driver faccia capo ad un chip, il raster a cui è collegato, varia da modelloa modello. Ultimo pure udev se non carica nella giusta sequenza i moduli, non se ne viene a capo.

   Hi all, the touchpad, or rather the touchscreen is a tough battle to get it to work; although the driver reports to a chip, the raster to which it is connected varies from model to model. Last as well udev if it doesn't load the modules in the right sequence, you can't get to grips with it.

   Hi,

   @maybl8

   no problem, in case i continue to upgrade stuff on current.
   For kernel no from scratch, upgrade kernel from old slitaz config (3.16.55) to 4.x and 5.10 branch, with adjust config when necessary.
   For touchpad feature, in case check with Ubuntu kernel config to see potential modules miss.
   In my case I2C and PINCTRL_AMD to have touchpad work, but in your case seem miss again.

   @gibor,
   yes it's pain, for my touchpad on HP Elitebook, said miss PINCTRL_AMD, not that option i think first, focus to HID / I2C.
   Infact maybe udev not load modules in correct order or miss again.

   For alanyih, touchpad work, but its on AMD platform (Ryzen), that case think same modules need of my HP G7 Elitebook who have also Ryzen CPU.

   I have good hope that maybl8 touchpad work.
   Maybl8 can you please add manjaro kernel config in attachment to compare build-in modules ? Thanks

   It's good achievement to have UEFI boot on recent laptop, but without touchpad not really great.

    i put amdgpu as module on kernel, 'black screen' with Xorg, and see on dmesg need amdgpu firmware, with it, Xorg happy and glxgears also ~3300 frames in 5s, ~600 FPS ^^

    Hi alanyih,

    Good catch, think push xorg-server update for libepoxy, not case.
    It's fixed and i update libdrm-amdgpu to include amdgpu.ids

    Maybl8, i see that link provide only package.
    This link could be help me
    https://gitlab.manjaro.org/packages/core/linux68 (but see linux510 could be help for diff).

    Can you please try to use linux510 manjaro kernel to see if 5.x branch enough for your laptop.

    Not sure how to get the manjaro kernel config that you need.
    I installed the 5.10 kernel
    Linux Manjaro 5.10.215-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Apr 13 14:27:02 UTC 2024 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    Touchpad working with this kernel in manjaro.

    Nice to read that on 5.10.215-MANJARO touchpad work, definitely we need find right conf.
    I check quickly and see that for PINCTRL_ related to intel (*lake) is built-in not modules.

    After I boot can I run the xinput command? I don't think it worked when I tried it before.
    Is it included in the .iso?

    Yes i use this to find driver used for my touchpad, (help for i2c / hid stuff, but mis PINCTRL_AMD part)
    example for my tuxedo
