New website

page https://slitaz.org/en/about

[*]< 50 MB ; more exactly < 60 MB

[*]5000+ packages ; in fact 6000+ - you have been absent for too long pankso wink

[*]changes to do in Technical overview too

[*]bad link in "Revues de presse" for 3.0 Distrowatch (it's the link for 1.0 Distrowatch); fr site only, link is right in the en site

[*]1.0 Free Software Magazine: broken link > 404 File not found

[*]FRLinux (fr) > Désolé, impossible d’accéder à cette page

[*]Tool manuals; maybe add the tazinst manual

.

page https://slitaz.org/fr/get/flavors.php

Oddly, the structures of the pages en/fr are quite different

.

page https://slitaz.org/en/get/flavors.php

[*]LiveCD ISO image to taste: Rolling flavors (https://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/flavors/) > 404 Not Found; the correct link is https://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/rolling/

BTW, maybe "create your own LiveCD flavor" should be linked @ https://doc.slitaz.org/en:handbook:genlivecd#advancedcreating-a-flavor ?

Re: New website

Hi Ceel,

I push fix "add margin-top for discussions div to ensure hot tags not overflap".

Many quick tests with console dev tools to found good way to avoid overflap, and smooth in desktop/mobile view, tested also on my phone.

Hope ok also on your side.

Re: New website

Hi Shann, Ceel

The glitch (like the one with the hot tags) shows up on a lot of pro-Google sites; it seems to be related to the page zoom...

If I zoom in, it appears; if I zoom out past a certain point, it disappears.

I think it's a mess related to Java, IMHO

Re: New website

Please could you restore the link to the Cooker  in the upper black panel of the Repos page ( http://hg.slitaz.org/?sort=lastchange )?

In the new website, needs to click on Main Mirror, then on Cooker in the Developers Corner grey window to access at https://cook.slitaz.org/ .

Re: New website

Hi, Firefox on Android isn't working well for us.

In landscape mode, it's passable/readable.

In portrait mode, you have to read it letter by letter and keep scrolling.

Re: New website

Re: New website

Hello pankso,

Re: New website

Hi, to keep things simple, it’s best to have a forum that’s set to display only in desktop mode.

I'm no expert, but from what I've read, there should be a way to set it directly in the site's code to display only in desktop mode

Re: New website

@gibor, what I can do is strip of all the mobile/responsive css, so it will display the same on desktop and mobile.

Re: New website

@Pankso

I'm not sure what the final result will look like. I mentioned that simply because when I enable "desktop mode" in Chrome, the layout looks perfect. When I do the same in Firefox, the layout gets a bit wonky.

forum home page

[ Register ] or log in - [ lost password? ] [ Username ] [ Password ] [ Log in ]

wouldn't it be more logical in this order:

It was a very convenient function, accessible from the home page:

https://pkgs.slitaz.org/

How do we access at it from the new site? No button/magnifier?

Re: New website

Hi Ceel, thanks a lot for your feedback. Since you have acces to the full SliTaz source and repos, do you think you can handle those style/link bugs ?

I am on finishing the full slitaz cooking/5.1 packages re-build (as planned with Shann & Pascal) and will focus on that since it's the most valuable for users.

Status: 5190 packages rebuilt with latest cook code. Do you you think rebuilding 5190 packages is enough to validate a new cookutils  release ? Or should I/we test more ?

Re: New website

@HGT,

Hmm, I don’t know.

I wonder if users as salsa will have the idea to click on Repos when they’ll be searching for a package?

@pankso,

do you think you can handle those style/link bugs ?

Unfortunately no sad

Re: New website

Hey HGT,

Do you get mail from hgt@slitaz.org ? If not, could you send me a mail to pankso@slitaz.org so we can connect ? It would be crazy cool to work together with Pascal (look like the old mail way is the way). We are the 3 committing rater than screaming.

I'have rebuild almost the full distro packages, still some fixes to achieve to go to 5.1 and come back to a stable and dev (cooking) model.

Hugs

Re: New website

BTW, if anyone wants to take the lead on the ARM port/website, you are more than welcome!

@ceel is right, this sections have dead links, old release and would need a huge update and love!

Since the active devs are working on the 32bit and 64bit port, we don't have time to handle the arm section.

Feel free to send me a mail, answer here or join de SliTaz Core group on Signal if you wants to contribute.
