Hi,
Open a terminal as root and try to update the packages:
tazpkg -gi epdfview --forced
Repeat the command for the 2 other packages.
Copy/paste the messages in a post.
Hi Ceel,
In attachment, the result for the 3 packages.
I don't see any error messages during updates.
But at the end, the updates still have to be done in the package manager.
No error messages and no messages saying that packages are already in the cache. It looks like if tazpkg didn't even try to update the packages before.
Maybe tazpkg didn't find the packages on the mirror it connected to.
As root, type
tazpkg -sm
it will return something like this:
Current mirror(s)
================================================================================
http://mirror1.slitaz.org/packages/cooking/
Please enter URL of the new mirror (http, ftp or local path). You must specify
the complete address to the directory of the packages and packages.list file.
New mirror(s) URL:
If the mirror is not mirror1, enter
http://mirror1.slitaz.org/packages/cooking/
and hit [Enter]. Then update SliTaz again:
tazpkg up
If the mirror is correct, just hit [Enter]. And then, I really don't see what happended.
Hello,
I cleaned up the cache. I suppose that's an answer for you remark "no messages saying that packages are already in the cache".
tazpkg - sm gives me as a result:
Miroir(s) actuel(s)
========================================================
http://mirror1.slitaz.org/packages/5.0/
Veuillez entrer l'URL du nouveau miroir (http, ftp ou chemin local). Vous devez
spécifier l'adresse complète vers le répertoire des paquets et du fichier
packages.list.
URL du nouveau miroir :
==> it's already "mirror1" but in your message, you tell me to write "cooking" and not "5.0". Do I have to replace "5.0" by "cooking"?
Some more information.
Following the updates, I notice that ePDFView and Firefox (2 of the 3 packages that remain in the updates) no longer work correctly:
1/ ePDFView no longer displays colors correctly. It's an old bug related to "poppler". See these few links:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6637
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=128626
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=677568
https://crux.nu/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=796
2/Firefox does not start anymore. In a terminal, this is the error message:
cedric@R8:~$ firefox-official
firefox-official: error while loading shared libraries: libatomic.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
When I reinstall the package, the error message sometimes disappears and sometimes it comes back.
Hi R8,
5.0 or cooking? Probably it is the same...
I forced installation of the epdfview package on my computer; I don't meet any troubles with colors.
firefox-official: error while loading shared libraries: libatomic.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
FireFox doesn't find libatomic.so.1 on your system.
tazpkg search-pkgname libatomic.so.1
Search result for package "libatomic.so.1"

Install one of these 4 packages and the error should disappear.
Hi ;)
I solved the problem of updates that remained visible in the 'package manager'.
The solution was to delete the packages and the dependencies, and to reinstall them.
I no longer have any problems with ePDFView, but I still have a problem to launch Firefox (and also a new problem with the game PrBoom).
As thes problems are not related to the original topic (updates that remained visible), I will create new topics.
