I would like to ask you a question about an issue I am having with Grub2 etc.
Here are some of the basic details to tell you about my system configuration.
paul@paul-desktop:~$ grub-probe -V

paul@paul-desktop:~$

I have been reading the:
GNU GRUB Manual 2.00~rc1
the grub2 menu detects (unknown Linux distribution) and advanced options states distribution as (SliTaz GNU/Linux (cooking) (Kernal vmlinuz-2.6.37-slitaz) (on /dev/sd)
Slitaz, was installed and setup on this machine as an only HD sole primary install with (ext3) filesystem
select (unknown linux distribution) hit enter
many errors:
init: Unable to create device .......
udevd[769}: mknod etc etc
Then States:
The disk drive for / is not ready yet or not present.
keys: Continue to wait, Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery
pressing M yields-
hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port7
init: Unable to create device: /dev/kmsg
Root filesystem check failed.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
Control-D will terminate this shell and reboot the system.
root@paul-desktop:~#
Rebooting----- and pressing S yields-
modprobes failing then finally
paul-desktop login: mountall: Plymouth command failed
mountall:disconnected from Plymouth
_
my harddisks are setup as cable select with the 320 GB on primary
40 GB on secondary
I could reinstall SliTaz but I figured to try an ask I want to learn more about Grub so I figured I would ask then read more.
I have never setup a dual boot system before
There must be a way to repair it.
