Since I went ahead with all the updates available for SliTaz 4.0, Grub is now presenting 2 choices during bootup. A cooking version and what came with the CD-ROM version. Both appear to be the same Linux kernel version.
64 cent question:
Can SliTaz 5.0-rc2 coexist with SliTaz 4.0 on the same PC?
That is, if I just update with SliTaz 5.0-rc2 (not a new install), then will I be able to boot into SliTaz 4 or SliTaz 5 (my choice)?
Thanks, Rick

Full install multiboot: each version should be installed on it's own partition.
There are more advanced install methods using sub-directory's and loop-mounted filesystems.
In every case you keep the file systems separate by installing them in their own container.Posted 10 years ago #
