'Configuring loopback' is too long. How can I boot faster without network support?

I already googled this issue and realized that it is very individual problem.
I don't need network support on this old laptop (for now) and I want to disable it completely.

I made .bak copy of /etc/network.conf.
Then I edited /etc/network.conf and changed
DHCP="no"

Well, it didn't speed up booting actually.

What else can I do to disable network configuering on boot and to boot faster?

Edit file /etc/rcS.conf
line 27
RUN_SCRIPTS="bootopts.sh system.sh network.sh local.sh"

You can try to remove network.sh from here

TY!
But wireless connection in network.conf is disabled by default.
Now it tries to run WIFI firmware and tells me smth. like this:

Welcome to your box // HERE IT HANGS FOR A WHILE
ipw2200:ipw2200-bss.fw request_firmware failed: Reason -2
etc.
etc.

It takes approx. same time as with network.sh ;)
Is it possible to avoid detecting wifi FW?

OK I installed ipw2200 drivers BUT it didn't help.
I mean it didn't speed up booting.

I removed again network.sh from /etc/rcS.conf.
What I get:

Welcome to your box // HERE LAPTOP HANGS FOR A MINUTE OR MORE
HERE GOES INFO ABOUT MY WIFI WHICH IS OK BUT KILL SWITCH IS ON AND I NEED TO TURN IT OFF BLA-BLA-BLA.
SOME MORE INFO ABOUT MY WIFI

It is so boring! And it is too long! Can I skip all this networking? I do not need any network for now, I need fast bootable typewriter! Help please!

Should I remove some services from /etc/rcS.conf?

kultex, ty very much 4 ur advice, I'll remember it.
But now I realized that I need networking after all. ))
So, now I'm trying to understand how to speed up the boot with network services.

so you have to downlod the package get-wifi-firmware and run /usr/bin/get-iwp2200-firmware
