I'm setting up my spidermachine and I'm having the following issue: the system is more-or-less in Russian after installing the RU locale from the repos, and it seems to read the Russian file / folder-names on NTFS partition OK, but in Openbox menu, in "Open Folder" it shows a long string of funny characters where I added them to favs in Pacman. I take it there's some encoding error out from /usr/lib/openbox/open-folder-menu.sh

offlineMemberWow, excellent, this worked! I've set up a Pap-Mum account on this machine, hence Russian, and I want to keep it dead simple, and no quirks. Also, when I point Libre's "open file" dialog to this folder it cannot read. Can this be resolved? Thanks!

offlineMemberOf course, I understand. Just wanted to point out, cause it seemed related. Many thanks for your help anyway. Also, when I tried to modify the tazbox.sh logout options, it complained about "current locale encoding" so I could not save with Cyrillic characters and had to transliterate (so my Pap-Mum don't accidentally reboot instead of shutdown). That was before I installed locale RU though...
