Hi,
after installing of qemu-box in current slitaz-rolling core64 you can see, that some dialog symbols are missing in yad. After forced installation of yad-gtk2 you see them again as before 2016-03-14, when yad was split. The error could be in yad-gtk3.

Hi kubepc,
GTK+3 required some special icons in your icon theme. Please, use "Paper" icon theme which is GTK+3 aware: http://pkgs.slitaz.org/?info=paper-icon-theme

Hi Aleksej,
it has not been the "Paper" icon theme, but a tiny package called yad-gtk2-html-0.28.1.tazpkg solved the problem. After adding it, the dialog symbols in yad for instance in qemu-box are shown again. Thank you for your help, You gave me the right idea.Posted 8 years ago # -
I hope, you know that the /usr/bin/yad binary file from the package "yad-gtk3" uses the GTK+3 widgets to show dialog windows to you. Just in case.
There's two different /usr/bin/yad binaries from the packages "yad-gtk2" and "yad-gtk3".
As well as two different packages "gtk+" and "gtk+3".GTK+2 uses so-called "stock icons", please see the official docs about it. GTK+2 includes these icons inside the GTK+2 binary and don't need them as separate icons in your icon theme. But if your icon theme contains these icons, GTK+2 will use them.
Here's the situation when the two icons with the same purpose you can find: inside GTK+2 as well as inside icon theme. SliTaz (I mean SliTaz few years ago) was extremely slim. SliTaz use Faenza icon theme you can see inside "slitaz-icon" package. So I moved stock icons from the Faenza icon theme to the "gtk+" package, and then removed these icons from the "slitaz-icon" package. Icons not takes a double size (I mean: in bytes) now.
In other hand, GTK+3 not uses the stock icons at all, and it not includes them inside its binaries. It needs some icons in your icon theme.
You need icon called "document-open" (for example, /usr/share/icons/SliTaz/actions/16/document-open.png file if you use the "SliTaz" icon theme) to display the icon at the right of the file selector field.
You need two icons called "list-add" and "list-remove" (for example, /usr/share/icons/SliTaz/actions/16/list-add.png file if you use the "SliTaz" icon theme) to display the icons "+" and "-" at the right of the number input field.
You need also some GTK+3-only icons "pan-down", "pan-end", "pan-start", "pan-up" to display little arrows on the path bar in the file picker dialog, as well as some symbolic icons to display on the left pane of that dialog: "user-home-symbolic", "folder-documents-symbolic", and so on.

I hope, now you know that package "yad-gtk3" has no errors, but used icon theme — is.
