I am installing / on an ssd
Is /etc/init.d/rcS the right place to add a noatime, discard option when remounting / ?
i did try, and it seems to work
However it seems / is mounted as ext2 ?
I tried both from an ext3 and ext4 fs and i get
tux@slitaz:~$ mount
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)
/dev/root on / type ext2 (rw,noatime,barrier=1,data=ordered)
Why is it mounted as ext2 ? (or shows as such: i read that barrier is an ext3 option ?)
Can I safely remount it as ext4 in /etc/init.d/rcS with option discard
and can I safely assume that trim will be supported as it should ? (the fs is ext4 and on a SSD)
Thanks
