tikbalang,
hey, long time no talk,
just posted on the same topic, then found http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:faq-login
need to read and digest this guide
running slitaz3.0-xvesa, frugal install under grub4dos, using your menu.lst, with laptop having 512M RAM, no optical drivePosted 13 years ago # -
yes, i am running xvesa version right now, but i want to setup slitaz xorg on my new pc. i followed that faq to the letter but no success. i have no "shopt" command, so i replaced with the suggested "chown -R ..." command but still fail.
you do know that xvesa will be dropped in the next version of slitaz? this is what i'm preparing for.

tikbalang,
good to hear from you
unaware xvesa will be dropped ... new challenges ... never resolved the old ones

interesting, when folks have trouble booting SliTaz, boot xvesa tends to be the resolution
what will it be if xvesa goes away? ...Posted 13 years ago # -
It's an easy solution, but not really an ideal one because xvesa only supports 4:3 resolutions so wide-screen resolutions will refuse to work with it.
