Hello, I'm a little stuck and loss, and I apologize if this is too trivial, it seems like I should be able to get this working but i can't for some reason. I'm trying to create a live CD with a little hacking. I just want to create the live CD that only boots to text mode. I want to create 25 different CDs so that each host name is different to boot in text mode only. CD1=Host1, CD2=Host2 etc. there is no addhacker option under tazlito. I've read some of the forum and they say to put screen=text in while it's booting up but i don't understand how or where to stop it. So I prefer to have a CD that I modify the /etc/rcS.conf file and put screen=text in there and I think i need to hack it to do it. I might want to customize a few more thing also. I'm running on old HP, and Dell machines. I'm using Slitaz 5.0rc3.

Hi gripman,
Follow this doc: http://doc.slitaz.org/en:handbook:hacklivecd and modify your isolinux.conf file.
You can even create an ISO with base only.
Edit: Ooops, forgotten a part of the answer.
Not necessary to burn 25 CD. After installation, modify /etc/hostname on each computer.Posted 8 years ago #
