I'm new to Linux and Slitaz myself. The way I did it was the tzpanel package manager. It was painless and done in less than a minute. To get to it just click on the little wrench icon on the top left (in the default install) and the select the "packages" tab. Look for Firefox in the list and select it. You can also install the latest working copy of Flash Player for Linux (apparently the last according to Adobe's website).
Hope this helps!

Hi, first, thank's to the all over world SliTaz team :)
SliTaz 4.0 works fine after some tries here ( 2003 portable Toshiba satellite 5200-711 with a death crash of the originally Windows XP installed - no money for buying another computer)
...Answering your question, after a long read about the very good documentation, hope you make the effort too,
( as an "old, 50 years" Unix system engineer, unemployed yet, with some experiences in differents Linux distributions) :1) Click the "X icon" on the left upper of your screen ( " sakura terminal " )
2) type su command to be root, verified by
root@slitaz:~# id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root) groups=0(root),6(disk),10(wheel)3) root@slitaz:~# tazpkg list-mirror | grep -i firefox
firefox-10.0.2
firefox-dev-10.0.2
firefox-langpack-fr-10.0.2
firefox-langpack-pt-BR-10.0.2
firefox-langpack-zh_CN-10.0.2
firefox-langpack-zh_TW-10.0.2
libfirefox-10.0.24) root@slitaz:~# tazpkg -gi firefox
Nota :
su is a command to be root from tux (user by default)
grep -i is a request to avoid the case sensitive Linux / Unix systemsOne more time, many thank's :)
