Hi, Im looking for a stable Linux version that doesnt require much HDD space that I can install on my Thin Client T5530. Ive tried Damn Small Linux, and it works fine from USB stick (live) but not from internal HDD. Installation fails since its swap needs 200mb, and I can only afford 14mb for swap and 50mb for main partition. Is it possible to install Slitaz FROM usb stick TO internal HDD ata flash chip? If so, how? appreciate any feedback, thanks in advancePosted 12 years ago #

I have an Igel Thin Client Winestra Series Igel-4210 LX with 256MB DDR2 533 , 200-pin DDR2 SODIMM ,my CPU is VIA C7 Esther Processor 1000MHz ,I use for storage a flash memory (4GB)which is a Compact Flash card plugged into a socket adjacent to a free 44-pin IDE connector(for 2.5" drive) fresh install of SliTaz occupies about 100 MB,I do not use swap and with the midori web browser eats about 55MB RAM . I have installed SliTaz from the USB stick to the compact flash memory card without problems. I hope I was helpful in any wayPosted 12 years ago #
