Hi,
Yes you can! You can even be the main italien maintainer since we dont have italien yet. Ther is several way to help in translation. The first thing woul be to transate the main website page so we can have http://www.slitaz.org/it/, then you may want to translate other website pages and applications using standard gettext POT files.
We dont use git but Mercurial: tazpkg get-install mercurial (if you have question about installing and using git, read the doc... and post in the main support forum or the mailing list.
If you want to clone the website, translate a page and then send it to the mailing list, you must:
$ hg clone http://hg.slitaz.org/
If you feel confortable with Mercurial you can have Hg access to SliTaz repos and sent directly you work, the website is update once by night. To start I can help you with the website and create an italien template for you
and we can create a Italian suport forum to start a new community language and maybe get more help. Motivate to help in a italian forum ?PS: It's not the first time I anser to such a request and I think it's time to have a complet guide about translation... I will improve http://www.slitaz.org/i18n.php

They don't look very active.. =PSee you soon ;)

Hi guys,
So I see a tiny Italian community as began, realy cool! So I also created a Wiki page for documentation. You can manage it as you want and it's a wiki so you can all participate, just follow the SliTaz doc guidelines. here is the link:
