I swapped out the hard drive from one HP laptop to another, I am running Slitaz 3.0 stable and and HP 8510P whites out completely when the LCD should dim out to sleep etc. I am dual booting SOLARIS 11 and under SOLARIS the LCD works properly. Any help pleasE?
LCD on laptop "whites out" instead of dimming when going to sleep.

offlineMemberI am still having this issue. I dont know what to do about it, the HP laptop lcd washes out completely white when it is supposed to black out. This is a triple boot machine, the Unix and windows partitions power save functions work fine ,so I know its not a hardware issue.
Any advice at all?

offlineMemberI thought I would post more info since noone has wanted to touch this, This issue is related to ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 and Linux Drivers, or rather the fact that ATI has not and probably will not make linux drivers for this line of video cards. I am running Slitaz 3.0 since 4.0 cannot display X. So in the future this might be helpfull to some people with this variety of Video Card, My portable workstation is an HP 8510P, which has a modular Video card. I just bought an Nvidia Quadro FX570M G84GLM video card to replace it with on Ebay, hopefully I can get up and running on 4.0 with it.
