I'm having some problems with the media player "stuttering" during playback. It seems to happen with some of my more hi-def movies, but not all. It will play some 1080 movies nice and smoothly, but others will struglle.
I am using SMPlayer, and have the mplayer codecs package loaded. The PC is a quad-core with 8Gb of RAM, so I don't think it will be a hardware issue.
Any tips on what could be causing the problem?
