Restart xorg which displays the mouse cursor using keyboard commands to logout of the xsession.
Use keyboard to open a virtual terminal.
Ctrl+Alt+F6
Login as rootSlitaz 4 use this command:
openbox --exit
Cooking use this command:pkill lxsession
This kills/restarts xorg at the slim login page.
Login to the xsession from slim login page.Posted 11 years ago # -
thank you fot your reply. But it is too difficult. I hope there is some way to do that without restarting whole X, which also kills all the running programms.

Why do you need to restart the mouse pointer?

I'll try to explain, but it's not easy since english is not my native language.
I have some issue with, I guess, with video drivers. When I turn on my laptop, everything is ok, but then suddenly there is some visual flash-like glitch - for a half of a second all screen looks like pixel glitch from 8bit computer games.
After that almost all opened programms has incorrect collors (black became blue, red ir yellow etc), clock from upper lxpannel is dissapeard, mouse pointer is not changing it's, how you call it, position or form? - normal, sellect text, "finger" etc. It's get stuck in a current form. For example, when I work with libreoffice mouse pointer is "sellect text" all the time. Even if I open webbrowser, pointer is still "select text" but never "normal arrow" anymor. Because pointer has been "select text" when glitch was happened.
And also I'm not able to play normal videos - there is sound but no picture. Flash videos still works ok.
It happens allways. Sometimes in first minute or two after boot, sometiems in hours.
Invert collors I can fix with reopening apps, lxpannel clock I can repair by restarting lxpannel, but I can't find a way how to fix the pointer.Posted 11 years ago #
