Hi there, I successfully booted from usb got into the final screen and wanted to start open menu and everything else but the very fast cursor can only be moved, no click or doubleclick shows a reaction. Just mouse right-click opens menu on the desktop-screen but then doesn't react on mouseclick either. Explanation pop-ups are working but that's it. Acer Aspire, Intel Atom N2600 if that helps. Many thanks.

No function by the cursor after boot usb-live

Hi Michael,
Are you sure that left button of your mouse is not out of order? Check it in other OS, or in other computer. Have you USB-mouse?
Yesterday I've got new Genius 'NetScroll 200 Laser' mouse. It's too fast too. Default resolution 1600 dpi. I've read on the mouse box:
Press three buttons (Left, Middle and Right) together for five seconds to change from 1600 dpi to 800 dpi and repeat to return.
Yes, 800 dpi is better, but not the best.
Install 'xorg-xset' package and command in terminal:
xset m 1/2 5
Where '1/2' is mouse's speed multiplier, it's caused 2 times slow. How to get this package? You can go to http://pkgs.slitaz.org from any other OS or computer with internet connection, select '4.0' version, type in the box 'xorg-xset', press 'Search'. Now you can click on link to download this package.
How to install this package? Copy package to your '/home/boot/packages' folder before you run your SliTaz from USB, and this package will installed on startup. Your USB flash is '/home'. Do you see folder 'boot' on it when you insert your USB flash in other OS? Create subfolder 'packages' and put your file there.
Or you can double-click this package (you want to working left button).
Or press Ctrl+Alt+F1, log in as root, go to folder with your package, and install it by command
tazpkg -i xorg-xset
How to have permanent effect?
Open hidden file '.profile' in your home folder by text editor, add your commandxset m 1/2 5
at the end of the file, save and exit. This file executes at every log in to system.Posted 12 years ago # -
Hi Aleksej, by the mouse I mean the pad below the track pad, is doing fine when using otherwise. This is only when using slitaz for left as well as for right click, it doesn't do anything. For the speed I know how to set this, did that once before but for resolution I don't know what this means, in regards to speed ? Thanks again.

I have Acer Aspire One AOA150Bb netbook with the Synaptics touchpad. It functions well, but I use only my external mouse.
We have configuration file
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/35-synaptics.conf
I can only help you by pointing you to good article: Touchpad Synaptics on the ArchLinux Wiki.
Good luck and come back with good results! ;)PS: What is resolution? If i have 1600 dpi (dots per inch), and I move my mouse to 1 inch in horizontal direction, then mouse pointer will move to 1600 pixels. My screen resolution is 1024x600. So, I need move my mouse very precise (about 3/4" ~= 18 mm for whole screen).
