My issue has been resolved: I rescanned the HD, reformatted the linux partition, and reinstalled SliTaz.
Now, everything works with the installed SliTaz as it does from the LiveCD. All the modules get loaded by the kernel, including sound and video modules. The video modules are intel_agp, intel_gtt, and agpgart.
