Scanner Epson on Slitaz doesn´t work

   Hi all
   I´m happy to return to Slitaz.
   Thanks to Arun I´ve installed Slitaz in UEFI mode and then I´ve installed Slitz rolling 32 bits on a partition (sda5), quick and easy. Reboot, update grub from Linux MX (sda2). At last reboot on Slitaz.
   My ten-years-old Macbook runs very fast. No problem with dual screen. Wifi isn´t working because of the chip Broadcom b43, but it´s not a big problem. Printer HP LaserJet 1018 is ok after downloading the plugin.
   The only problem is the scanner Epson Perfection V39 ; after #tazpkg convert I´ve installed
   imagescan-3.49.0-1epson4fedora28.tazpkg
   imagescan-plugin-gt-s650-1.0.0-1epson4fedora28.tazpkg ,
   imagescan-plugin-ocr-engine-1.0.0-1epson4fedora28.tazpkg ,
   When I type sane-find-scanner the answer is
   found USB scanner (vendor=0x05ac, product=0x8300) at libusb:002:003
   found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x013d [Epson Perfection V39])
   and #scanimage -L returns
   No scanners were identified
   #tazhw setup scanner returns
   Detected USB devices Kernel modules
   ================================================================================
   Epson Perfection V39 (none)
   etc ...

   Has anybody an idea to fix this issue ?

   The scanner V39 on sane backend has marked "unsupport type" (or unmaintained ?!?)

   Thanks gibor for your quick answer. This scanner works without problem on Linux MX. So I´ve convert and installed iscan-data, image scan, imagescan-plugin-gt-s650 from the Debian 32 bits packages.
   A bit of progress :
   #scanimage -L returns
   device `epson:libusb:002:006' is a Epson a flatbed scanner
   but
   #scanimage -T returns
   scanimage: sane_start: Invalid argument
   So I´m carrying on my endeavours

   You have tried to build direct on slitaz image scan-3.49.0 ?
   wget http://support.epson.net/linux/src/scanner/imagescanv3/debian/imagescan_3.49.0.orig.tar.gz
   tar -xvf imagescan_3.49.0.orig.tar.gz
   cd utsushi-0.49.0
   ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc
   make
   su > root
   make install
