I have downloaded what was touted as Slitaz 3.0 stable but when it boots I note it lists as cooking. Can someone point me to an iOS download for slitaz 3.0 stable please. And apologise for asking but what is the difference between justx, 3in1, loram and xvesa. I am on very limited hardware so what would be best please ie minimal system requirements. (Pentium 2 M at 233mhz and 300mb ram)
Thank you

3.0 stable ISO: http://mirror1.slitaz.org/iso/3.0/slitaz-3.0.iso
3in1
The ISO has 3 rootfs that allow you to start as well base (rootfs3.gz) as juxtx (rootfs3.gz + rootfs2.gz) as SliTaz 3.0 (rootfs3.gz + rootfs2.gz + rootfs1.gz)- base boots in console mode only,
- justx boots Xorg server only,
- SliTaz 3.0 boots... slitaz-3.0 ;-) equivalent at slitaz-3.0.iso
When the screen displays
boot:
you can enter parameters for the kernel or for SliTaz (see http://doc.slitaz.org/en:handbook:livecd#boot-options); type:slitaz3
to start base orslitaz2
to start justX orslitaz1
or hit [Enter] to start SliTaz 3.0.
xvesa
The SliTaz doc will explain this much better I can do it.
My previous work computer never started with Xorg (slitaz-3.0.iso) and I had to use the xvesa ISO till SliTaz 4.0loram
is an ISO image for low RAM systems (< 160 MB for Slitaz 2.0(-3.0?), < 256 MB RAM for SliTaz 4.0). You'll find interesting informations in this article: http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:lowramcd#live-cd-for-low-ram-systemsYou should be able to run 3.0, 4.0 or even Rolling on your system. I run them with 256 MB RAM only (but P4 1.6 GHz) and a swap partition, not possible without. A 512 MB swap partition should be enough on your computer.
Sorry, I didn't see where and when Cooking is displayed but may be my computer is too fast.

Thank you for your very comprehensive reply. My PC has a neomagic graphics chip and Slitaz 4 doesn't recognise it. I'm not knowledgeable enough to troubleshoot this (yet). Slitaz 3.0 runs very well.
