Hello, bonjour,
I try to made some screenshots but I do not have it.
I know that is not Slitaz specific, i've got a "PrtSc/SysReq" touch
but it doesn't work, no buffer appears.
How are you doing please ?

Hi.
In order to take a screenshot in Slitaz you must access the following entry:
Applications->Graphics->Grab screenshot.
After you select this entry in the menu, mtPaint is opened and it will contain the screenshot. You can then save it in the desired format, modify it or whatever you can do with a photo editor application.
If you don't have mtPaint installed, install it, but I think it is included in the default Slitaz 4.0 installation, so you should have it.
Bonjour, hello,
Thank's Bugraiser,
It's OK for catching the online page when surfing and i confirm that mtPaint is installed in default Slitaz 4.0 but :
i don't find how to select local screenshots (e.g. slitaz wallpaper or a part of) in clipboard,
perhaps my "PrtSc / Sys Req " key don' t work physically ?
What combination of keys are you using with your installation ?
thank's,
Thank's again Bugraiser,
In the help menu of Mtpaint (that i missed to read first) , i found the "working fine" keyboard shortcuts :
>
Ctrl-A Select whole image
Escape Select nothing, cancel paste box
J Lasso selection
Ctrl-C Copy selection to clipboard
Ctrl-X Copy selection to clipboard, and then paint current pattern to selection area
Ctrl-V Paste clipboard to centre of current view
Ctrl-K Paste clipboard to location it was copied from

So long,
Glad I could help. :)
Well done figuring out by yourself what you needed.
Hallo!
I want to share my little experience with screenshots. I found two ways, simple one and harder but more handy other way.
First. Open your terminal emulator (xterm or sakura) and type these commands:
sleep 10; mtpaint -s
After you pressed Enter key you have 10 seconds to:
You can set any number of sleeping seconds you want. And yes, you give screenshot again in MTPaint.
Second. Install xbindkeys package.
Run xbindkeys: SliTaz menu → Run → xbindkeys
You need to edit your default .xbindkeysrc file: open PCManFM in your home folder, press Ctrl+H to see hidden files, search for file mentioned above and open it in your text editor (Leafpad of Geany). Add these lines somewhere in file:
#screenshot
"mtpaint -s"
m:0x0 + c:107
Print
Save file, quit from text editor. Now, add xbindkeys in autostarted applications. In the PCManFM in your home folder search for hidden folder .config, open it, next open openbox folder, and open autostart.sh in your text editor. Add these lines at the end of your file:
# Fn Keys
xbindkeys &
Save and quit text editor.
Now you can press PrtScr/SysRq key anytime to give your screenshot in MTPaint. And this functionality will stay after you reboot or switch off/on your machine. (And yes, you can find "Auto started applications" in the SliTaz menu. It's same.)
Nice, thanks a lot, Aleksej. Your instructions worked brilliant.
This kind of stuff could well be part of the Slitaz documentation / guides, or of the Slitaz default installation even.
