Was really pleased having downloaded SliTaz Cooking-20110531 and then set the network to 'etho' to get online and run the live cd. Also, that i was able to type URL's into the address bar. Something i could not achive with the previous release of Cooking. I was unable to access my Gmail account and i was informed that i needed to install, glib-networking. But no matter what i tried it always failed. Could the reason for the failure be that i was running a live cd? But the worse case senario (in my humble opinion), appeared in the screen/resolution size. When will the developers of Slitaz take pity on noobs like myself who look forward to each new release of Slitaz hoping against hope that the screen/resolution size has been taken care of, only to be let down yet again. But i won't give up on Slitaz just yet, and hope that someone may take pity on an aging noob and his equally aging pc to help him enjoy using the SliTaz Operating System.

Hi,
First big bug; it seems that Midori/tazweb/webkit cant acces to https website.
What is wrong with the screen resolution ? What are you waiting for exactly, a GUI to confiure resolution ? We have pay a lot of attention on Xorg and by default Xorg automatically set the screen resolution, if it wrong you may have to try to boot with option on the first splash screen, example:
slitaz screen=1024x768
Also keep in mind we always try to have a good compromise between system size, speed and functionnylities and this mean we provide only one generic driver for Xorg that is called 'vesa'. You may have to install a native driver for your grapgic card (intel, nv, etc). To do so, please open a terminal and launch 'tazx', it will open a tiny gui box to help you install Xorg drivers.
