"Spider" menu

HI :) Just installed SliTaz. The beautiful little spider has vanished from the "Start" button position :( Can i get it back? I found the folders with a lot of the icons in /usr/share/icons but even when i tried to search the entire root folder and all sub-directories i still couldn't find the spider for the Applications menu. I searched a LiveCd session too, still no sign of it :( SliTaz 4 is fantastic btw. I tried a very much older version of SliTaz donkey's years ago and it was quite good then but now it all looks very polished and professional. I love the wallpaper too! Many thanks all but please help me regain my lost spider! Regards from Tom :)Posted 12 years ago #

eh, I just lost the bottom panel, so I rebuilt it by hand. I used this suggestion to get back the nice spider icon, but I still miss the text near the icon (Applications).
Is it possible to have it back?
I can use this occasion to localize it, since it doesn't follow the rest of the system, and remains unlocalized.Posted 12 years ago # -
Hi :)
I found the answer to that in an Faq or Release Notes but now i can't find the answer to that one! Sorry! Most things seem to let you right-click on the icon to Browse for a new icon and change the name but the spider menu doesn't. Maybe that is what Mojo's code was for? Hmm, that was weird. I found the config file Mojo pointed at and the first part of mine looked identical (well, spacing was a tiny bit different but i doubt that affects anything). On my bottom panel i had added a directory/folders button and called it "Places". The config file seemed to show the added menu but didn't have the name of it stored. The only other config file in that folder was for the top panel. So, sorry i couldn't help with that and couldn't find the relevant Faq (or whatever, maybe i dreamed it as it's clearly not in the Faq now)! ust logged into Ubuntu on this machine and Seamonkey had the relevant link open for me already! So, perhaps try this?
http://doc.slitaz.org/en:releases:4.0:errataIt supposedly rebuilds the whole of the bottom panel again and you might need to re-add your own extra tweaks. Luckily the only time the whole panel disappeared for me i needed to reinstall anyway as i invariably stuff things up the 1st few times i try a new system. (I'm one of those people that sometimes pokes around to find out "What happens if i do this really stupid thing that no-one is ever going to want to do?" and then wishes i hadn't poked it = ie a typical Gnu&Linux user i guess!)
Good luck and regards from
