Hi!
I have been looking for quite a while now, for a light-weight Linux distro and i think i've finally found it in Slitaz-Cooking. I downloaded the slitaz-cooking.iso from Distrowatch and ran the Live CD. I was amazed just how fast it was. So i decided to install the OS and was once again amazed just how easy the install was. The only thing i am stuck with at the moment is the screen resolution. So could i ask anyone to help a noob like myself just how i might set the screen resolution to fit a 17" monitor please. Thanks

Sometimes this works:
When grub menu appears with slitaz entry highlighted hit the e key
Highlight the kernel line
Hit e key again.
Add screen=1024x768x24 to the end.
Hit enter key
Hit b key
If this works add screen=1024x768x24 permanently to kernel line of /boot/grub/menu.lstPosted 13 years ago # -
