Starting Desktop?

   I've downloaded, installed & updated the desktop RPI image but how do I start the desktop?
   Do I need to install anything else?
   Typing startx or jwm gives message:

   "error: could not open display"

   Hey nitrogen_widget,
   Normally, the X server starts automatically when you have
   installierst the (desktop image RPI) .
