   Hi everyone,

   I tried tazpkg convert for google chrome .deb & the error said-
   amd64 (i386 expected)

   I wanted to use chrome to dictate notes in google docs, which unfortunately only chrome browser seems capable of.

   I tried it on slitaz 64, so is tazpkg convert for 64 bit packages not supported currently?

   .rpm converts but .deb won't which is weird

   And it installs fine, but won't launch
   Failed to execute child process "/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable" (No such file or directory)

   Any idea what's going on?
   I am a noob so forgive me.

   Hi Rahul,

   I have currently no 64bit with UI, but after converting the rpm
   I can see the binary is here:

   /opt/google/chrome/chrome --help

   Can you try if this works for you?

   Thank you for your help.

   unfortunately I hit a dead end at /opt/google/chrome & I don't seen chrome --help
   not in the converted package or installed system files

   I am new to Linux. Am I missing something?

   I appreciate your help & thanks for bearing with me.

   Hi Erkan,

   If you see the file, but executing it returns the error "not found", examine the file: probably it is script, but Linux can't find interpreter to run this script, described in the first line.

   /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome is a BASH script, and it required BASH installed. Two options possible:

   1. Install BASH

   2. Change "#!/bin/bash" into "#!/bin/sh" in the first line, as well as change all the BASHisms to be executed with the plain Busybox's /bin/sh interpreter.

   I think, installing BASH is simpler than re-writing the script after each Google Chrome update.
