tracepath in some SliTaz package?

Hi all,

For my SliTaz 4.0 install, I would like very much the equivalent of the "tracepath" utility found in Debian (iputils-tracepath package), but I haven't been able to figure out if anything like it is present within any of the available SliTaz packages. Could any of you shed some light on this? At worst, I suppose it would need to be ported from Kuznetsov's source. It looks like that has been done with some others of his networking modules.

Of course what I'm trying to do is have a utility that will help me pinpoint where along a routing path some firewall is squashing a TCP request on a certain port.

Hello,

Try downloading https://packages.debian.org/sid/iputils-tracepath and and convert this Debian package into .tazkpg then install it.

Is there a good how-to on the conversion process? I seem to think I looked at this those weeks ago and found it's not so straightforward. Maybe because iputils-tracepath itself has dependencies of course, and so does that mean I would need to convert all of those packages too? Would welcome your thoughts.
