I don't see the mount point /media/cdrom in your command.
# mount -o loop slitaz-4.0-core.iso /media/cdrom
I don't use DD to burn an iso to USB key because it's readonly.
You won't be able to save any files to the drive.
If I want to install linux or run live usb and I have no cd burner it's convenient.
All it does is save me from using linux live installer or one of the other iso to usb installer programs.
Identify the USB drive you want to use or you'll screw yourself by deleting the wrong partition.
Applications/System Tools/Gparted partition editor format to ext2
Applications/System Tools/Create a LiveUSB
ISO Image: <- Click the menu button, navigate to the iso,Click OK button.
HOT DOGS !.........FINALLY ! ( after a couple of years ( off and on )
Thank You All :)
Only small problems :
1) boots a little slow. Would it be faster if I had compressed to lzma ? ( I did 'none' )
2) when I try to shut down it goes back to log in ?
