I'm more into classic gaming, so I use emulators like zsnes, virtualboy advance and ScummVM to play them.
I also play Ren'py visual novels, singularity, PysolFC and asciisector.
zdoom (brutal doom mod) and sauerbraten.
There are many good games for zsnes. I try once zdoom and really liked it.
My favorite is Minetest-0.4.6 (currently). Compiled by hand and it works great.
Hello,
I mainly use the emulators to play some games on SliTaz, like super Mario old school! :)
and some The Mana World w/ Trixar_za
Mario Forever
Figuring out how to get it to boot.
But seriously though, I haven't played a lot of games on SliTaz yet but I plan on using it in the future as a potential host for a personal minecraft server of mine, and, if things turn out great with 5.0, possibly a Steam Machine.
I install PySolFC games compendium; more time wasters than a 'game'.
Where can I get PySolFC games? I can not find it in the SliTaz 4 games package list.
I did do a web search and found the PySolFC games home page.
Can I just download from there and run PySolFC?
Is there a specific version of PySolFC that I must get.
Thank you,
Rick
P.S. SliTaz is not Ubuntu. Took me forever to get SliTaz running properly on a very old Win 98se PC.
P.P.S. Gnome Hearts is the best Hearts playing program on any OS platform. Has it been ported to SliTaz?
Hi Rick,
Try to use package from Rolling version.
Go http://pkgs.slitaz.org/search.sh?package=pysolfc
Click on package name to download it.
“Run” package (double click it) from your file manager, then choose “Install” in the SliTaz TazPkg Actions dialog to install it.
Note that all package depends (python etc.) will be installed automatic.
Thanks Aleksej.
Downloaded the pysolfc package from Rolling and did a local install.
pysolfc only had 2 other packages it depended on, that is, python and tk.
I did a web get-install for python and tk, then did the local install for pysolfc.
A pleasing time waster pysolfc is.
Advanced Mame & Advanced Menu compile fairly easily on Slitaz with minimal depends.
@Rick4859, I added gnome-hearts to repos:
