Hi, I'm trying to configure an HP thinclient with AMD Geode, I've tryed various small linux distro, and I've found that slitaz is the better in the small linux group.
Well... my problem: now the default X11 screen resolution is max 800x600, and so I try to use #tazx to set Sis driver, with this no problem, now I must copy xorg.conf.new from root to etc/X11...
but I've no xorg.conf.new ... and I can't list the content of root folder even if I got root with #su .
How I can resolve to use #tazx and then set my screen?

xorg and tazx problem...

Install the xorg-xf86-video-sis package and remove the xorg-xf86-video-vesa package. Then just reboot for it to work.
What is happening is that xorg automatically configures itself at every boot, but is using vesa instead of sis everytime. Removing vesa forces xorg to use sis instead.

Perfect! Many thanks!
But... just for know... why I can't list the content of root folder even I have root privileges?Posted 12 years ago # -
Try ls -a because all that's in /root is hidden files and directories.
