Cooking 20140216 - booted just fine, but there seems to be a WiFi issue aswell

Hello,

Good news for the first time cooking is able to boot on M4N68T-M motherboard along with a AMD Athlon II X2 250.

AMD Radeon HD 6450, but not sure if this was properly configured yet, GUI did load.

However, it seems that module was loaded for my RTL8187, but I cant seem to get a peek out of it! Something seems to be broken in the WiFi, it does detected the rtl8187 plugged in, but will not configure, or see any AP around.

Also, this happened to be on the Live version, have yet to try others.

Re: Cooking 20140216 - booted just fine, but there seems to be a WiFi issue aswell

Hello,

Well I got the rtl8187 to work. This is what I did

Installed:

lsusb-1.0.8.tazpkg

libusb-compat-0.1.3.tazpkg

usbutils-007.tazpkg

and

firmware-rtlwifi-20130610.tazpkg

I also attempted to load the rtl8187 module, 'modprobe -v rtl8187' but when I did 'tazhw detected-modules' it did not find any modules for rtl8187

'iwconfig' confirmed i had wlan1 working, signal strength of 92% ... but it is extremely slow ! its like hanging up in the middle of loading a page, rather very strange.
